Hydraulic Ram or Glockemann style waterand gravity powered pumps info

I am interested in hearing from anyone with experience in Glockemann type or similar hydraulic ram pumps as I have a lot of permanent flowing water and would like the energy in the water to move a small part of it around my property. Because of the soils and terrain and the current infrastructure Ithe best place to grow things is not down the hill in the frost, but further up the hills. The cost of the pumps seem high, and if I could see one I'm sure that I could build one. Thanks in anticipation.

I have some plans for a ram pump somewhere(?) here - I'll track them down over the weekend for you
Years ago I used to repair pumps for a living, and I recall putting new valve leathers in an (I think) IBC hydraulic ram pump sitting in the bottom of a gully below a perennial spring. From memory it had been put in just after WW2, and was still running in the late 80's

Thanks Don. I have seen and heard one of the noisy machines. The Glockemann pump I was chasing is also noisy, but more efficient than the IBC. Maybe we are all part of planned obsolescence, but are not very accepting and carry on regardless. Look forward to you further reply.

Found a link that is (I think) the one I originally got my plans from - very basic (basic is good!), and they include a lot of tables for heads & flow rates etc.
