I have been wanting to increase the light on my non-sun side of my greenhouse by using reflected light. I was looking at the foil-covered sun blockers that are put in car windows while they're parked. The layer of foil is very thin, and tears easily, so they might not hold up well. But foil seems a good way to start as an experiment.

I've also read that high-gloss white exterior paint will reflect light well.

The soda can/fire starter is something I always keep handy, and tampons are great "kindling" to start a fire in an emergency and store easily.

I recently bought a new gal rainwater tank and put it on the south side of the house,it has made a huge difference to the amount of light in that area.also I have bought some of these stainless steel sheets to play with.

Here's a YouTube thing on starting a fire with a soda can. I have done it, because I couldn't believe it, but what you use for starting material is crucial. And the thing about the tampon, you have to pull it apart into tons of fluffy paper, then it takes very little to start it.
