Does anyone know of good understory comapanion plants for pecans?
I intend to add them to an already established orchard and to a single newly planted tree on different project of mine.

g'day serfsup,
pecans get pretty big don't they?
just that most fruit orchid trees don't need a huge space between them generally around 3 meters give or take, i would be expecting to give a pecan around 5 meters or so, the pecan trees i've seen have been huge.
not sure what will grow under there canopy but it would need to be something like a ground cover maybe sweet potatoes.
