    Default Large scale permaculture

    Hi All

I have talking to my father inlaw about a property his brother is investing in which is west of toowoomba, I think the land area is in excess of 100k acres and from the photos I have seen is a red soil with little grass cover but it does have quite a good covering of local trees. It has boar water and a river near the house, at present it is a cattle property and they have just removed the last of the sheep that were on the land from the last owner.

We have got onto the subject of how permaculture design could offer a large dry property like this better management of the land, would anyone here know of any examples of large scale properties in dry areas that I could pass onto them as an example of this design system?

I heard Bill M talking about a place in India that went from a few acres to 50km2, has anyone seen this system and know of some more infomation on it.

    Thanks

    Hi Bazman,

Darren (permaculture.biz) has a lot of experience in larger properties, check out his website for some more info..

Then I was going to mention Natural Sequence Farming, but I see you raised the topic yourself once before...
