Hi all, we have recently purchased a slice of heaven, 8 acres of creek flats, in the Hidden Valley, near St Albans NSW, the back boundry is a creek fed straight from Yengo National Park.
I have started a orchard with oranges, lemons, avacado, nuts, figs , etc plus some native "Sand Paper figs" which are native to this area
I am in the process of building a 50M x 20M veggie garden come choock pen , it will be divide in 2 so the choocks can graze on half whilst the veggies are grown in the other half, then every spring swap the sides around so the choocks have the spent veggie garden and the veggies go into the fertilised choock run, ( hope I have explained that so you can understand).
Native animals we have birds of every type and description, wallabies, and wombats ( bloody wombats , but that is another story).
we have a 40ft container for a storage shed, and a small cabin to stay in, we have a generator at present but looking at solar and wind for power.
I will keep you updated as we take this journey in life
Allan
This is a great site and I hope I can provide some interesting threads
