Is there a place for worms to go when their work are done
where night goes on forever..where there's no morning sun
where there's no early bird to fear..or vole or mole or chook
and wondrous piles of rotted poop ev'ry where you look

is there a place for worms to go when their lives are through
with all their toil within the soil they build for me and you
Europeans, Africans Jumpers, red worms too
where they can thrive abundantly and frolic in the goo

We imagine someplace where there's no pain or strife
if we do good on his earth and live well in this life
Why not imagine something more for all the good he's done
Perhaps worms have their just reward when their race is run
