Dominican Sisters, Ambulance corps, join the Permaculture Juggernaut

Members of the Westwood Vounteer Ambulance Corps recently planted a new permaculture garden outside of their headquarters at the municipal complex.

"Coston and Garcia both came to Adrian last year from Santuario Sisterfarm in Texas, a Dominican sisters project dedicated to permaculture and sustainable living."

They were almost neighbors of ours, and we got to visit Santuario Sisterfarm right before they moved. Sadly the farm is no longer open for tours, though the new owners plan to keep it in permaculture and concentrate on reintroducing native prairie grasses to the property.
