my new (and very exciting) journey!
Where to start...
that's how I feel as I journey through my part time PDC I'm currently studying with Milkwood and the lovely Alexia at Alexandria, Sydney.
Coming from a holistic nutrition and corrective exercise background, I learnt a little about permaculture and biodynamics and it's relevance to nutrition as the health of the soil, the source, and processing of our food is paramount to eating healthily.
The work I currently do rehabing, realigning and sorting out people's physical, emotional and metaphysical states encompasses the same no excuse and responsibility orientated ethos that underpins permaculture.
Learning the principles of permaculture has ignited that passion all over again and I don't think I've ever been so enthusiastic! Probably like most that discover permaculture, I feel like I'm being given tools that not only make complete sense for a lifestyle choice, I've also had that moment where everything is seeming to fall into place as my world totally changes to embrace this new journey.
So for the moment I'm learning all I can, getting away to a friend's farm on the mid north coast to practice and observe, and then hopefully off to co-create a teaching and retreat facility focused on all things permaculture and wellness!
Hopefully I'll meet many permaculturists along the way to grow and learn with,
Amaali

Welcome Amaali! I'm thinking that your background complements Permaculture principles and ethics in a great way!
= )
Permaculture is a gestalt ... a study of the whole. Not just how to produce more and better food, but how that food production affects and is affected by the surrounding environment.
