    Default Dry climate examples?

Lots of folks practicing permaculture seem to be in the moist subtropics, or if in the US, in the Pacific Northwest. Are there examples of systems in dry climates, especially non-tropical dry climates?

I'm especially interested in examples where no irrigation is used.

    Thanks.

Take a look at the Greening the Desert and the Global Gardener videos for dry climate ideas.

Thanks, I have watched them. I was hoping there were some other examples in the world.....like, some folks here on the board might live in dry climates......

Examples are great, but what I love about Permaculture is one persons ideas may or may not work for someone else s property. IE - All the plant lists in the world won't help until you do your places research and make a proper master plan. Even Bullock Brothers in Washington State, out on an island have a dry climate area with cacti. Any way, here are my examples.

Thanks! I was hoping there might be some folks here on the messageboard who are practicing permaculture in a dry area.

Kimbo parker is in dry dry WA, but he hasn't dropped in for a while.... Search back on his posts, I remember him describing in detail the multiple uses of water in his system before it is used up.
