The Asylum Seekers Centre and City of Sydney are offering a series of permaculture workshops in the coming weeks!
Does your backyard look like this: lots of concrete, little sunlight, limited space, no place to enjoy?
With a few passionate volunteers, very little money and lots of ideas, we turned ours, at the Asylum Seekers Centre in Surry Hills, into a little green permaculture gem! Started in 2008, both front and back gardens now offer fruits, vegetables, bush tucker and edible weeds.
The garden also hosts stingless native bees, a worm farm, compost bins and a regular permaculture group! Oh, and we can even seat over 50 people on our custom-designed garden edges! All that, packed into about 20 square metres!
Would you like to find out how you too can convert your garden into an abundance of food, flowers, life and use?
