If I can find that the rose gives off a chemical that some roots emerge and then be picked up by the roots of grapes which in turn pushes the white fly (which is the scientific way of saying the same thing), so I have something very useful.

I thought roses were planted at the end of grape trellis' because they usually pick up mildews before grapes do. So the vineyard manager can watch his roses then get out and spray Bordeaux mixture before it hits their grapevines.

I don't know, but a winery on the NSW East coast Cassergrain has a vast rose garden. I thought they just liked roses.

Well, you know Bill. He loves to tell a story, sometimes we just dont get the whole picture.
I heard Nick Romanowski, Australian wetland and aquaculture expert found quite a lot of faults with the Designers Manual's Aquaculture chapter. But then I dont know fish.

I haven't gotten to the aquaculture chapter in that big ass book yet, maybe I will look into it & said Bill a re-write.

Correct, even David Holmgren reckons without Bill, the Permaculture manuscript would be sitting in the bottom of his drawer. I guess you could argue it would never have been written, but then Im glad we don't have to argue that.

Im sure a new designers manualwill be written sometime, Ben Falk et al of Whole Syetems Design is working on a book relating to his climate cataloging what they have done around Vermont in America. Anyone on facebook.com should follow this work in progress, some of the most exciting work being related on the internet that I have come across. Yale University meets permaculture!
