My name is Anthony Bradley. I live in Manson, Iowa, United States (1800 people). I volunteer time for permaculture projects. I was referred to this site by a friend so that I could post a project I am coordinating. Here's the info:

I have support for several new projects from the: Mayor, city council, park board, economic development coordinators, school superintendent, school board, principle, guidance councilor, agriculture teacher, local churches, farm land owners, and several volunteers. An elementary school is in the process of being transformed into a community center. An organic farm (already certified by Oregon Tilth) is being established. A cooperative grocery store is in the planning. Many acres of land are ready for edible forest gardens, nature trails, bike paths, community gardens, school organic garden, native landscapes, arboretum, and water catchment systems. Housing in town is very inexpensive. Free camping for volunteers. Two lakes are within 5 miles with 21 new residential lots available soon. County officials have expressed their interest in duplicating projects throughout the state. This is an excellent opportunity to bring health to the heartland.
