Are they all organic? Are any of them cheap and easy to make or should I just buy them? And if I do buy them how much do I buy and what is the going price rate? And when I have them how much do I use? when do I use them? how do I apply them when I use them? what do I use them on? And lastly what are they make out of?
I am out of questions for now but I mite have more for you lot later.

Any advice will be greatly received.

Nickolas, they are not 'organic', except for possibly the blood and bone.

Do a quick wikipedia search on each and you will get the idea. Most of them are derived from mining (in my opinion one of the worst things we do as a society). Store bought blood and bone rarely contains much good blood and bone these days. AS the name suggests it is made from blood and bone - usually the left over bits from abattoirs and such.

Concentrate on adding heaps of good organic matter to your soil and any issue that would 'need' the application of the mined products would largely be solved. If not, then would be the time to consider some remedial additives. There are some other threads related to soil additives somewhere on the site.

    Good luck

You don't need them, and the materials you listed are doing major harm to the planet & YOUR ecosystem. Also, IMO, don't believe Permaculture sites / forums that say it is ok through some BS transitive ethic either.

    g'day nickolas,

better off not using any of them, they are all man manufactured so you really have no idea what may truly be in them.

for us we rely upon continued mulching with green type mulches ie.,. spoil hay and sugar cane mulch, not perfect but we seem to get a better balance.

also all spent plants and rottable kitchen scraps get tucked under the mulch.

if i could source it i would get some yard manure from a dairy farm, that has organic principals eg.,. someone milking maybe a dozen cows or less.

Doesnt potash come after you have a good BBQ? and calcium and magnesium are probably found in comfrey and eggshells, trace elements from compost and blood and bone... roadkill?

    Oh.

I bought blood & bone a little while ago, and I have various other additives people have palmed off to me, like a slow-release fertiliser and some seasol.
It feels wasteful to just toss them - would the world implode if I used them up and started anew after?
