Try chatting to your local rural supplies store - they'll know of breeders near you. I know someone in SEQ but that isn't going to help you much!

In the Hunter Valley you could find Glenarvon goats (about 70 mins from you?). They sell chickens as well. I recently bought 5 Isa Browns from them at point of lay (although at this stage I am only getting about 2 eggs a day from 5 chooks). Buying them was quite the experience as they free range on her property and I had to catch them myself with a net! At least they had some enclosures to get them into first before netting them. My 2 boys enjoyed the experience.
