I just got Permaculture: A Designers manual and started reading it
The most striking thing about modern industry is that it requires so much and accomplishes so little.
Modern industry seems to be inefficient to a degree that surpasses one's ordinary powers of imagination.
    Its inefficiency therefore remains unnoticed.

That's the end of your old life now Jeremy. Once you own the Designer's Manual there's no going back....

Hi Jeremy....I'm new here too....but ever so 'slightly' older. As others have said, I wish I'd known about permaculture when I was young. Still, I was interested in gardening even back then. Bill Mollison hadn't thought it up when I was a kid :-( It's never too late though. What a great future you have. I hope you thoroughly enjoy living with permaculture principles. All the very best to you :-)
