Working to live instead of living to work.
Do you have any idea how many cars have serious safety issues that don't get probed into. Do you know how many times with say the "Mustang" how Chevy paid people off instead of fixing an exploding gas tank... but hey it's a Mustang.
IMO, this is a "wag of the dog"
Not sure by what you mean "wag of the dog", but I expected there to be some sort of roadblock to this car making it on the market. I just hope Chevy is committed for the long haul. Google the video "Who Killed the Electric Car". Very interesting.

"wag the dog" it's not just a movie, it is a real media concept.
You have something you don't want the public to follow story wise? Then change the leading story.
And 20 gallons of gasoline on the underbelly of a car DOESN'T present a fire risk?
I think you misunderstand, Chevy has a history of exploding cars, and today Chevy once again doesn't disappoint. The US has a history of making awesome cars that explode on near touch (under 15mph) & now this. Sorry for the miscommunication.
For anyone who doesn't know. The Chevy Volt has been in side impact car crash test, and they FAILED. It seems you can side impact a Chevy Volt, park it, walk away for 3 weeks, and then it blows up. One of the main reasons is the electrical cooling fluid line ruptures causing a leak, short time later, BOOM!
Ford ordered a recall today because the government made them do it.
All Ford Fusion's from 2010 and 2011 are recalled due to the bolts that hold the wheels on can fracture and make the wheel itself come off.
It's not even a month later and another car from a company the US helped bail out needs work again.
Should have just let them go under.
