Let us use this thread to say something nice about each other.

Here is mine:

I want to thank everyone who has made permaculture possible. I sincerely appreciate everything that is being done, from the PRI projects around the globe to our humble little suburban plots.

I want to thank everyone for making this sight possible this summer, where just last year a grass lawn was "maintained"



We are now acting out our expressed values where it matters the most, at home.

Permaculture made it possible for this little fellow to find our garden and stay safe for a few days:



This dove wouldn't fly away from me as I moved around the garden, so I suspected that it was resting some ailment. After all, there really wasn't much by way of seeds on the ground for it to eat. We just left the area of the garden alone for a few days, until one day I couldn't spot her anymore.

I'm sure the dove would like to thank everyone, if it so could. Our permaculture gardens are truly places of refuge amidst all the insanity. Thank you, permaculture people.

I would like to thank Bill and David, and all those who have taken hold of their seminal ideas and drawn them out; put them into action; shouted them from the roof tops and whispered them across the back fence. I thank the owners of this website. I thank the owners of other websites I've never visited who spruik the values of permaculture and the concepts permaculture contains.

I want to thank Costa, and Peter Cundall and Josh Bryne and those sorts of peeps who have spread the word through the media in their own fashion. I wanna thank Purplepear for being an inspiration through doing. And all you other folks out there who are actually doing this thing; who care; who see and understand what this is all really about - you know who you are.

I wanna thank myself for giving it a go, for putting myself forward, for making mistakes, for sticking to it when I really feel like chucking it in, for enjoying the great days, for giving my kids this opportunity.

I wanna thank Mother Earth for giving us a long lead before condemning us to dinosaurs.

And lastly I'd like to give a little call out to those Mesopotamian Bakers who unlocked the secrets of beer.

My thanks go out to all those who wrote books on the subject, I have found alot of inspiration and solutions in them.
To all those who share their surpluses in the form of ideas and solutions to specific questions and encouragment here at PRI's.
To those who start up web pages showing just what can be achieved with time and energy and inspire me to keep on going til I get it right and in particular Purplepear, Hardworkinghippy.

My thanks goes to Linda Woodrow, and the Natural Food Store that I bought her book "The Permaculture Home Garden" from. I read it from cover to cover in one sitting, asking why no one had ever told me about permaculture before. Life changing stuff.

I second the nomination for the Mesopotamian bakers too.....

I'd like to thank the bumblebees, who're covering for the honeybees in my garden.
Also the crew who's amazing support made this garden possible. Thank you so much, spiders, parasitic wasps, hoverflies, springtails and the rest. You know who you are!.

Love the list we've got going so far, if one were to list; as if to put in order things that should not be put in order? I don't see one thing I would not like to thank as well. That is a beautiful prayer, Pakanohida.

The garden is a delightful place to imbibe after spending a day tending it. Probably the most enjoyable thing I've done in a long time- planning, implementing, planting, and harvesting through each season. This is the first year I can say that I "gardened." Coming round full circle is a great feeling.

I wouldn't have had the passion to do it all without everyone and everything we are thanking right now.
