Mild cases of the flu can be confused with the common cold; however, the flu usually causes a more serious illness. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Sounds very similar to S. Thomson's original composition powder which will cure most things

When ever I got sick in Melbourne I would go and have a Pho with a lot of chilli
    Seemed to work every time
Similar ingredients to above but Cassia instead of Bayberry and Star Anise which is supposed to be good even for avian flu.

Your tips are really looking worthy in case of flu, if you are not wrong. BTW, I'll definitely try the soup, thanks fore posting these kind of tips.

I find food and spice facts fascinating. Here's one about Star Anise.
A chemical compound in Star Anise is shikimic acid which is "a primary precursor in the pharmaceutical synthesis of anti-influenza drug oseltamivir (Tamiflu).[1] Shikimic acid is produced by most autotrophic organisms and whilst it can be obtained in commercial quantities from elsewhere, star anise remains the usual industrial source." Enjoy your Pho and other Chinese soups this winter!!
