Default Produce Swap Bacchus Marsh this Sunday

    Hi all,

If you are in the Moorabool Shire, or know people who are,
there will be a home grown Produce Swap held this Sunday 7th August in Main St Bacchus Marsh, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm.
Bring along vegies, fruits, herbs, seedlings, seeds. In future we hope to branch out and also swap preserves, eggs, honey etc.
For more info email bmproduceswap @ gmail.com

The swap went well today, 5 people/families brought produce to swap, a lady who I met at the information centre the other day brought a bag of lemons from her tree, and took home a bunch of protea flowers for her sick friend.
WE had a lot of variety: 3 varieties of lemons, grapefruit, jars of lemon butter, thai chillis, silverbeet, spring onions, tomatoes, daikons, leeks, rocket, several different succulent cuttings, bunches of proteas, parsley parsley parsley, parsley seedlings, Raspberry canes in pots, pea and radish seedlings.
There is food left over which I am taking to the local food donation centre tomorrow morning, so that disadvantaged local folks can have some fresh food too!
So although not many people attended, I would call the day a sucess, and hopefully we can keep it going into the future.

    Default Well Done

That sounds great Sezmo you should be proud of the start you have made. These things can need some time and if you give it some of your time and energy it will be a worthwhile venture.
