Hi, everyone. I have some land between Cairns and Cooktown with about 200m of tidal riverfront. There is only about one or more acres of the six that can be used, as the rest is steep and has rainforest trees on it. There is electricity at the road front which is bitumen seal and there is a bore with good water. The only neighbor is a shop and fuel supply next door. The land has a site cleared for a house and shed, way above flood levels. This area is great for fishing off you own doorstep and it's about 4km to the ocean beach, which has a shop, library, and school. I thought about selling the property, but may regret it later, so I am open to all offers on what to do with it. Would someone like to , buy a half share, or buy the whole lot, with me providing half the finance. Maybe build [ I have plans for a ''shipping container'' home] with legal agreement to cover everything. Ideally if someone wanted a interest in it, I would visit every 5/6 months and offer my experience and advice advice, as I spend most of my time o/s or down south. Now I will tell you some thing about my self, A expat Kiwi [ 64yo] who has spent most of his life on the land, including a bit of time living on a Ohu in 1968/9 I have built waterwheels, windmills, methane gas digesters and have practiced organic farming/gardening. Raised chooks, turkeys ,pigs, cows and have preserved fruit and vegies. Built my own hose and sheds etc. You name it and I think I have done it. I still have ALL the Grass Roots magazines a few Mushroom mags [ NZ 1960 + version of the G/R ] and the Second Whole Earth Catalog, and the Third WEC. All free to someone that buys the land. Is it near whale beach? Where exactly are you? Just curious not in the market. Is it the Bloomfield river you refer to? if not which one?
