Hey friend It is nice to hear from you. How are things in FNQ? Yes it is yrue that you were nice enough to send me some morninga I think but it has not come through our winter. I also got some from Fernando Pessoa and split the spot to grow them so as to best find a microclimate to suit. It grew really well under some Paw Paw that I had planted with an east to north east aspect and so other in the banana circle. I really think I am not meant to have the wonderful crop this far south. Having said that we have just had a mild winter and things have come through better than in past years but the cassava was no longer around. Last I heard from you was after the big cyclone up there. I do hope you have brought things back to normal and that everything is great for you.
    Kind regards Mark

    Hi Michael..

I got a couple of pepper plants from violets and lace.
Also was given a couple of different taro's and cassava's.
Didnt even bother with the usual winter garden this year due to wet weather so we are going to have to plant a tropical vege garden.

Had brekkie and cocktails up at the Elantra a couple of weeks ago in exchange for a bit of garden advice from the owners.
Also at the table was the "father" of your Mona lisa's...he came and got a few bits and pieces off us so hopefully we can expect a few interesting edibles in return.

So what happened to the dry season,man.?...god its a swamp out here.!...

I am afraid that a couple of unusually cold nights finished them off. Oh well, it was worth a try. Thanks anyway, once again.

I received the cocoa seeds today. THANK YOU. Most have begun to sprout and are now safely tucked into pots. I will now proceed to hover over them until the first leaves appear! Thanks again!
