    Gday Speedy,

    Happy to be your friend here but I dont really check into this forum much anymore. I look at the Daleys fruit tree forum which seems to loaded with west australians and is generally more friendly and polite.

    I also check into a facebook group called Perth edible gardeners. You are in WA arent you? I would be happy to join you up. Much easier post fotos and people are organising seed swaps and meet & greets so it is getting back into the real world. You can find me on facebook easily, my name is Haakon Nielssen.

    From the caper seeds you sent me a single bush is growing. I had forgotten about it until I saw some recently on my plate and remembered it was growing under a rampant gooseberry that needed taming.

    All the best in 2012. As for me, my nectarine didnt set but the tomotoes have been brilliant.

    regards,
    Haakon

    Thanks speedy sorry for the delay, and all the rubbish sent with seeds.
    The chillies could be interesting ( one may be bhut joikler sp?).
    The basil must have light to germinate so don't cover them, but keep them wet;
    more medicinal than edible
    still working out how to use it

    good luck

    Yes we are human after all , I am lucky enough to have seen the end of plenty of bad habits and the older I get the stronger my resolve seems to become . I'm trying to set a good example for my kids and since finding permaculture my path has become clearer.I haven't been to mcdees since making a complaint about rank bacon about two years ago and I don't miss it one iota. re Laziness and apathy yeah short term satisfaction and pass on responsibility is the norm nowadays, we have been brought up on a diet of steady mind numbing folly and the momentum is hard to break.I cant help thinking that we will see the change we want to be though, they are interesting times we live in.Personally I'm hoping for an implosion of capitalism by next year.
    Great avatar ,we live in hope.
    PS thanks for your input into the forum you are a very knowledgeable Permie.
