When I have pineapples I cut the skin off with a knife, but there is always some flesh with the skin. I've just been throwing the skins in the compost, but yesterday I tried soaking them in a jug of water to make juice.

The juice tasted ok after a few hours of soaking, but when I had some today it smelt a lot worse, I think it was fermenting. Is it still ok to drink if its fermenting? Any other ideas of how to use the pineapple skins?

Thanks
