Hi Grasshopper Sorry I couldn't answer your question re . world population on the Ecosystems thread because a moderator saw fit to silence us and close it. Anyway... I think that without the greedy and vampiric 0.001%, the world could sustain 7 billion quite easily (probably a lot more). But under the current conditions, yes the world is overpopulated. The answer is to remove the 0.001%... not population reduction via war, famine, sterilisation via vaccination etc. Hope all is well in your part of the world and the veges are looking lush :-)
