private messages - e/mail notification?

g'day team,

just realised i have been missing private messages as they come in, for me this new format doesn't highlight that factor as well as before so they are easily missed.

is there any facility to request e/mail notification whch occurs in other forums for these events please?

Hey Len,

Yes, that little "Notifications" box in the upper right corner is easy to miss. I do it too.

If you select "Private Messages" in the upper left corner of the screen, then look down the left column of the PM page to the "My Settings" box and select the "General Settings" link under "My Account".
On the "General Settings" page, scroll down to the "Private Messaging" section and note the option "Email Notification of New Private Messages". Here you can opt to get email messages when you receive a new PM.
