Hey all,
I'm a young guy from Newcastle, NSW who has been into permaculture and sustainability for most of my adult life. I studied physics and sustainability at uni before studying permaculture directly at a few places in NSW.
Earlier this year I started up a permaculture business in newcastle with my best mate who is a Biologist with permaculture training. We've been working together to help people transform their properties (big and small) and grow healthy organic food.
We love farming and growing things and our small mayfield backyard is packed out with biodiversity. So much so that we're busting to get some more land and keep growing. If there's someone out there near Newcastle with some land we could share, rent, trade, wwoof etc so we could keep growing we would be very interested!

Great to see you here on the forum Chris - welcome. If you have energy to spare and ideas abound then we may be able to help you at Purple Pear. There is still plenty to do if you are into food forests or into mandala gardens or tree lots.
I hope to see you around.:)

I was just looking at the purple pear website the other day! It would be great to get involved in some way. Would love to come check out the place and have a chat, is there a good day/time to visit?

Welcome Chris,

If you every need a contact in Sydney, let me know. I travel up to Newcastle semi-regularly and would love to catch up at some stage.

Paula.

We have a farm tour this weekend with places still available.
The tour goes from about 10am to noon on Saturday and costs 15 bucks. You can get a tea or coffee and some home made cake if you get here on time.
Hope to see you then.
