THE glamour of Hollywood was flicked aside for the classroom yesterday as the actress took her place at a two-week permaculture design course.

Ms Hannah arrived in the Far North on Saturday. She hit the books straight away but yesterday took time to take a dip in the Barron River during a break.
Ms Hannah told The Cairns Post she was impressed by the Far North.
"How can you complain about a class where you take breaks swimming in the beautiful Barron River," she said. "I hope I’ll have a chance to explore a bit. It’s so exquisite here."
During her month-long stay Ms Hannah, who also plans to attended APC10 conference which will tackle governance and policy issues such as population and climate change, is keen to see some of Australia’s more unusual wildlife.
But right now the focus is on her permaculture course at Kuranda.
"I’m hoping to learn how to become more self-sufficient," she said.
