Hi All
First read Permaculture One in 1982 and have been dabbling with permaculture systems design ever since. Have finally bitten the bullet and am doing a intership With Geoff and Nadia Lawton at The Permaculture research Institute in July ,cant wait. One small problem was that i hadnt done a PDC and that it was a prerequisite for the intership. As im having to take nearly three months off work i wouldnt have been able to fit a PDC in, luckily i found a distance ed option with Permaculture visions, it seems to be a great course if a little frustrating as ive been reading and thinking permaculture for twenty odd years, but still the second you think you know it all is the second you stop learning.

Anyway things ive mucked around with and am happy to talk about are aquaculture /aquaponics ive had a few systems over the years built out of recycled materials and using different approaches ie chicken hybrid systems, urine rcycling systems, crayfish etc

Alternative energy, appropriate tech mainly solar thermal and am currently dabbling with a solar thermal compressor design . Composting toilets for small spaces

Basically if its interesting im interested. I figure the more tools you have in your tool kit the more connections you can make.

Cheers Tim

"If its interesting I'm interested"
I'm a bit like that with plants.

I envy your climate, mine is "1/2 way"
1/2 way away from Mediterranean 1/2 way away from tropical.
One or the other gives a nice set of useful, interesting plants you can grow instead of trying to grow Miracle Fruit or peonies.

Welcome aboard, you sound like you have a lot of practical knowledge to share.
