Hi there,
I currently live on 5 acres and have a vegi patch, chickens, dogs, horses etc...
One day my partner and I would love to be self sufficient either here or move to Tassy. I already make my own bread, jam, tomato sauce, cheese etc.
Joined to get some hints and tips from others and maybe give some answers myself.

Woo Hoo! Another banana bender! Which bit of God's own country do you call home? There should be no reason you can't work towards self sufficiency on 5 acres in Qld..... Sounds like you've made a great start already with chooks and veges.

and if we didnt bend the bananas they'd all be straight. And who in their right mind would eat a straight banana?

The banana bending is easy, it is roughing up the pineapples that is the really tricky bit. They just aren't right when they let the smooth ones get through the state barricade. :-)
