Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and I have so many questions to ask about permaculture. I believe I'm in the right place.
My brother is very seriously considering buying a piece of land to start the practice of permaculture.
His wife's and his ultimate dream is to be self sufficient.

They are looking at buying a 30 acre farm in Howes Valley, 2-3 hours from Sydney.
I am just doing the leg work together with them to learn and find out as much I can.

My brother is off the opinion that oil will become a scarcity in the new future and the world as we know it today is going to be a very different place.

I wanted to know where I can find a permaculture consultant to start off with?
We need someone to come to the site that we are planning to buy so they can give them professional input?

Have any of you tried to get a consultant over? Is Geoff Lawton available for a consultation, how much does he charge?

Anyways, looking forward to learnin from you guys.

Goran

When you say you are "a user" is it that you have a drug habit - whether yes or no - welcome to the forum.

Don't know about a design consultant - you could try http://forums.permaculture.org.au/member.php?2862-permup. I have stopped designing to concentrating on doing it. You could consider doing a PDC here and then do it for your self. You could get in touch with Permaculture North (in Sydney) or just ring mr Lawton - you never know.

Hi Goran
Welcome to the forums:)
You will find lots of helpful info here in past posts or just ask
You might find what you are looking for in the "businesses" section of the Forums or why not do a course yourself ?(See the calender above for dates)
