Can some one please explain who is the cuurent authority for the issueing of PDC certificates etc etc. I note most providers say certificate issued/registered by the Permaculture Institute!!!! Which one is it! There appears to be many rebels/authorities. TIA. :)
Hi Tia
in Australia PDC teachers can be registered with The Permaculture Institute, which is based in Tasmania where Bill and Lisa Mollison live. The wholesale distribution of Tagari Publications is also part of that Institute. Teachers can submit there course curriculum notes, that is in PERMACULTURE A Designers Manuel by Bill Mollison.
We are about science and ethics not metaphysics and the full curriculum must cover the chapters of the Manuel in depth. Continental Permaculture Institutes in North and South America and in Europe can all register teachers and issue diplomas which is now well recognised and requested by employers.
Many people teach without registration and issue their own certificates as long as the teach within the ethics this is fine.
We are a wild decentralized movement self breeding teachers and community groups generation by generation now in almost every country on Earth, unstopable, this was always intended.
On the other edge, we are gathering credentials rapidly on the ground with systems which so obviously work and today can be digitally recorded as evidence.
Our meaningfull research possibilities are infinate.
