We have to buy a new fridge freezer.
I saw one at the "rainbow power" website, seems quite more expensive than a conventional one. and it looked quite old fasioned (that means the inside much less practic than modern ones)
WEre to buy the gas?
You can buy gas fridges in convetional stores as well?

Have a look at the energy rating site, specifically fridge/freezers:

http://www.energyrating.gov.au/appsearch/refrig_srch.asp

Pick the highest star rating one for the size you need. I find that sorting by the power consumption gives a good indication too and shows some .... anomalies, for instance here's an extreme example:

You can get a 405 litre Liebherr freezer that uses 200kWh/year with a six-star rating.

But you can buy a "Coola-Can BC-40" that is 40 litres, uses 180kWh/year, and is also six-star rated.
For another 20kWh a year, you can store ten times as much! When you put size / power consumption into the equation, the Liebherr is wayyyy ahead.
