The Panya Project / Baan Thai Project will be hosting two courses this summer in Northern Thailand. The courses will be full 72 hour certified PDC's applicable to any climate, but the course will also focus on the design and planting of edible food forest, as the project here in Thailand will be in the planting phase. We hope to have over 2000 plants ready for planting during the courses, including a wide variety of tropical fruits, legumes, ground covers, medicinal herbs, other edibles, as well as indiginous forest trees.

To learn more about these courses, who is teaching them, costs, and exact dates, please visit our website at:

The Panya Project was set up about a year ago. It kicked off with a course taught by Geoff Lawton in November (phenominal class), and the course culminated in the building of a two million liter dam with four swales. The courses should coincide with the filling of the dam, and the first flooding of the swales. We will be hard at work planting the food forest area and fine tuning our swales and dam. Come join us for the course, or keep an eye on our project for future internships and workshops.

Best to all. And keep up the good work!

Nice website, Christian. Good luck with the project... Do you know Weerayoot Pansuwan? He is the BikeforKids nomadic Permaculture activist. He was on my PDC with Geoff in 1999. Awesome guy.
