 Hi All [and Ivan from Oz] Grace from Oz here, also first timer :!: :) Spoke with a neighbour today who informs me there is "a perfect time to take cuttings from Franjipanni's! ..." but doesnt know WHEN that is! Can ANYONE assist here? I am located in Central Coast New South Wales and hey! figure IF the ...."perfect time..." is say Spring then it will be the same regardless of where one lives. AND... how long is one supposed to leave the cutting to dry before putting in ground ? Tks in advance :D

Hi Grace,
Welcome to the forum. IMHO you can take frangipani cuttings any time. You can leave them to dry till the leaves have fallen off and the cut end has sealed. I would also be tempted to cut all leaves off one cutting [but not the tip] and stick it in water and see.

g'day grace,
yes take them anytime then stand them cut end down in the sun for a couple of weeks take off all or any leaves, in that time they dry out a bit and the cut seals so it doesn't go mouldy.

Hi Floot
I only JUST picked up your reply THANKS a heap! :D Interestingly enough the same neighbour I mentioned last entry, said NO WATER! just leave them lying ON earth till it has roots. So... I will try both methods and will see how we go. Again thanks - appreciate your input. 8)
