g'day friends,

we not long ago bought a brand of electric blower first initial is 'gee', second is 'em' and 3rd is 'cee', so like others have done here i went to the bunny rabbit wharehouse and for the first time in my life i said hang it let's go cheap, after all if it is no good we can bring it back!! hey?

well the story gets sad from here on in.

1st though a cheap product it was doing a pretty fair job, that was until from the pressure of the incoming air from the vac' function the cheap insignificant plastic zipper decided it would burst open, and blew yes you guessed it all the stuff i just vac'd up all over the place, a bit funny i suppose?

anyhow i have learnt my lesson i will never buy cheap junk from a discounter again. the store gaves us a note from the manufacturer/brand name stating all claims have to go to them, and of course the store as big as it is doesn't offer any instore warranty, well not on this brand now anyway. they said they offer a 14 day money back guarantee after that you are on your own.

so it will have to be back to the broom and dustpan for now, and the maker who wants you to send back your receipt for proof of purchase before they will talk to you, is out of stock of bags until the end of the year.

that will mean we have not had the use of the product for 6+ weeks if the bags turn up then that is?

don't reckon they are in the market place to provide quality 'cornonthecob',

the trend seems to be all these cheap names are coming into these big stores and of course the general public always short of cash buys them, the outcome as i see it the manufactureres who make top of the range garden equipment will stop doing so because no one is buying it.

then when we all work out that we want something better it won't be available, and the exchange/money back offers will have disappeared so cheap will cost us dearly.

the seasons greeting to you and your family from me and my family aveasafeone.

Yes sadly GardenLen this is the reality which will soon be upon us. All those good quality things will be sacrificed for the sake of the hip pocket nerve. Unforunately those things of great value are always of material worth which doesn't compensate for it, so we by cheap to supposedly save.

Same can be said for Safeway and Coles range of store branded products. They are bringing in their own branded things in great hoards, and eliminating all those well trusted brands which have served us well over the years. Too bad that the future might be a biopolous market in retail, but all so in supply. How industry will be at the beckoning of the retail giants.

To bad this is the trend. I guess we can inly try and rebel in our spending, and support those on the way down, in a hope the future isn't so bleak.
