Permaculture in Japan/Australia - Japanese farming techniques

Can anyone give me some advice on permaculture in Japan. Any information would be much appreciated. Does anyone know of a ongoing tv program called Dash Mura? The practices and techniques used in this program are enlightening.Old japanese farming techniques that date back years.
