In 1980 I recorded a one day workshop that Bill ran here in Nannup, Western Australia. He dwelt for considerable time on Fire.
To celebrate the southern summer approaching, I have converted this to MP3 for free download. It's in 2 parts.
Just go to http://www.permacultureplants.net/Audio/audio.htm and click on the links. Right hand click to download and save it.
Happy Listening - Jeff
Thanks Jeff - very good of you to put that up.

Frosty try downloading the file first. Right click and save onto your hard disk. Then you should get it and can play it back when download is complete. I have 15km of twisted copper wire between me and the telephone exchange so I know what you are saying. Actually on download I wasn't doing too bad, I got streaming at real time.
once on your hard disk you can even put it onto a cd for sharing aroundalthough the sound quality is compromised in the interests of reasonable download size.
I'll keep it on our web site for as long as I can because I feel it is an extremely important topic and a good coverage.

Looks like the site has gone down, I would be interested in these two files, I can host them if you need some online space BTW, just PM me.
Frosty, If I can download the files I would be happy to post a CD to you, I have a heap of other permie/enviro mp3 files worth listening too.

I only get about 40kbps access on my dial-up here Frosty and it didn't take too long - was only a little over an hour to download both parts.

I had to click on the links a couple of times before they would start to load frosty, so keep trying. Its worth it!
Thanks for putting this up Jeff, really interesting to hear the old guy talking about melting windscreens and leaky ball bearings. He really is "on fire" literally and metaphorically...
I'd pay 20 bucks for a whole PDC on mp3, probably, if I was feeling flush.

Jeff, I see the release date is Dec 2006. I have already placed my order. Will I get the cd in 2-5days, or will I be waiting until Christmas?

Hi Richard, it should be with you within a week. I put the date as December taking into account the massive 2.6Gb upload. (250+ hours on my dial-up and bear in mind I can't keep the telephone locked out for many hours in the day.).
Thankfully a friend came to the rescue and it's done in a fraction of the time.
Happy listening,
Jeff
