Murray,

Given that many of us post commercially oriented websites into this forum on a very regular basis, have you ever run a poll on banners/advertising.

Have you considered a section like ''Our Readers Recommend'' and fill it full of revenue raising banners. I can think of Joel Malcolm's Aquaponics site for one that has been frequently posted here who may wish to link to this site.

I don't want to step on anyone's ethics or commercial arrangements but bandwidth and time do cost and I think we are adult enough to deal with that.

Just a thought.

I do motorcycle instructing
I choose to link here because
Would you not expect that every time forum users help each other it makes us a stronger community
Putting a link here helps search engines find me and I increase in priority every time my link pops up and I plan on doing likewise on my site

I have tried to keep it low key and should business come of it I would show my gratitude,
I think it is good for people to be proud of what their livelihood is and hope that it inspires others to see that they might do the same if they try...
I went from soulless polluting and making sickness in the lab to enjoying teaching people how to get from A to B without a car and trying to brush them with permaculture thereby increasing our community

As for people plugging businesses you do not agree with I suggest you find ways to help that person see a way to evolve

PS: also don't you find it interesting what other people do for a livelihood?
