View Full Version : Where to get water plants in Brisbane?
Does anybody know where I might source edible water plants (water chestnuts etc) in Brisbane? I've just installed pond made from salvaged laundry tubs and its empty, I think I should get plants to keep it healthy before I fill it up. I've heard I need pond mud/water and differing depths etc, which I can manage to do, but the plants I've no idea where to get.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

g'day elly,
you could try the markets at the caboolture show ground just about every sunday. i see a bloke set up over near the equestrian centre with lots of water plants not sure if he has chestnuts?

Thanks len,
I'll go have a look, some friends of mine have been telling me I should go and check out those markets for ages. Think I will ring around nurseries too,
cheers e.
