I've heard rumours that bills food forest on the five acres at tyalgum as seen in the global gardener vid was bought by someone who bulldozed down the trees and filled in the ponds? Can anyone provide any info on this disturbing rumour?
also, what has happened to the rest of tagari farm since p.r.i. moved on? ???

:( Yes this is correct the food forest has been removed but I think the ponds are still there. I have not seen it myself but I have reliable reports from some of my students who have. As the last person to be responcible for it's maintainance I do not want to see it but feel gratefull for having had many wonderfull experiences of learning there and have many great photos. As for the rest of the farm it is out of permaculture type maintainance and is potentially for sale as far as I know.
This sad news should encourage all of us to work on setting up and establishing as many classic demonstration sites as we can.
Cheers Geoff (keep gardening) :)

that is sad. i had hoped against hope that it was a bogus rumour... still, like you said geoff, all the more reason to make more food forests and permaculture systems. thanks for confirming that anyway...
