Just a matter of time till it blows over to me. So much for collecting rain water. How would one filter it out?

Uhm, and what about our food too? My wife and I decided to just keep going as normal what else can we do?

If I was to bioremediate, I would need to grow sunflowers every damn season, and send it off to be incinerated some where with the special bacteria that eats the radioactive cesium. However, how do I even know what levels we are at truly? The cloud forcast they keep showing on Youtube and elsewhere is for Xenon-133 which has a half life of a whopping 5 days, and even if it is in high levels around me, it will barely do any damage anyway. It's the Uranium, Cesnium, and Iodine coming down I am concerned about & I do not know what levels are coming down & what will occur.

I did oddly do something coincidental last month that should help. I purchased this..... http://www.fungi.com/plugs/plugs.html#ACCESSORIES

Spored Oils™
We offer unique blends of spored oils, one for decomposing stumps of conifers and two for hardwoods. These oils are designed as environmentally friendly, biodegradable lubricants for chain-saws and other wood cutting tools (dilute 1:10 with canola oil for best results). As the wood is being cut, the spore-mass infused oil disperses mushroom spores into the cut faces of wood, and upon germination of spores accelerate the decomposition of stumps and brush. Stamets says, "Here is an alternative for reducing fuel load in the forest to prevent forest fires—don't rob the carbon bank by removing litter—saprophytize with fungi!"

Spored Oils™ for Conifer Woodlands contains spores of Phoenix Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus pulmonarius). Preferred wood types: spruce, douglas fir, hemlock, pinyon and ponderosa pine.

Perhaps this will help with bioremediation on the property over the long term.

REMOVING FALLOUT PARTICLES AND DISSOLVED RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL FROM WATER

The dangers from drinking fallout contaminated water could be greatly lessened by using expedient settling and filtration methods to remove fallout particles and most of the dissolved radioactive material. Fortunately, in areas of heavy fallout, less than 2% of the radioactivity of the fallout particles contained in the water would become dissolved in water.25 If nearly all the radioactive fallout particles could be removed by filtering or settling methods, few casualties would be likely to result from drinking and cooking with most fallout- contaminated watr.

° Filtering

Filtering through earth removes essentially all of the fallout particles and more of the dissolved radioactive material than does boiling-water distillation, a generally impractical purification method that does not eliminate dangerous radioactive iodines. Earth filters are also more effective in removing radioactive iodines than are ordinary ion-exchange water softeners or charcoal filters. In areas of heavy fallout, about 99% of the radioactivity in water could be removed by filtering it through ordinary earth.
