Hello,

I am very excited to announce that Jeff Nugent will be visiting Tasmania in January to convene an intensive Permaculture Design Certificate Course.

Jeff's enthusiasm, vast knowledge and experience are very well known to those who have been around. He is from the Sustainable Agriculture Research Institute (Western Australia) and has over twenty years experience in teaching Permaculture Design and a longer history as a Permaculture Designer. Jeff actually completed his first PDC in Tasmania with Bill Mollison in 1982.

He is also an Accredited Designer and Installer of Remote Area Power Systems. He is co-author of the book Permaculture Plants - a selection and author of Permaculture Plants - Agaves and Cacti. Jeff has taught courses in Australia, North America and Africa.

The course will take place on an idyllic property 3km from the diverse township of Cygnet which will host it's 24th consecutive folk festival during the middle weekend of the course. The house on the property is featured in the Dec/Jan Edition of "The Owner Builder Magazine" for those in Australia and New Zealand.

This PDC will also involve the design and construction of a large swale system using excavators and a grader.

Course Fees: $900 including meals and a camping site. Accommodation will be available free with neighbours for those not wishing to camp.
