he glazed over and told us an ancient Egiptian story about the bugs rolling away nite into day
he just loves those little critters, i think it is wonderfull to see a scientist display such passion

My sisters farm was an ex CSIRO test farm they introduced quite a few beetles there.

yes well any critter that moves and uses poop all day for the benefit of its own and the environment is pretty darn awesome in my books. You could call a dung beetle an extrordinary permaculturist! lol

Our property is quite small and we have several tools called pick-a-poo. They are pastry thongs I buy at the second hand store. I use them daily, but the kids don't like the job, even if I offer them 50 cents a bucket full.
