PRI and forum sites having problems?

Is there something going on with the PRI webpages and forum? It has seemed verrrrrrrrry slow to respond for a couple of days - especially today!

It's a traffic thing. We're just getting too popular. Weekends are always slower for traffic (shows what many are doing with their work time - surfing!), hence the better performance today. Over the last week we've been getting 5,000 visits each day, and had a couple of days at 6,000. Plus, the following post wouldn't have helped - people downloading large files simultaneously:

We're going to have to move servers. I had wanted to do it a few months ago, but in the lead up to the IPC I didn't have time, and I also didn't want to risk possible complications prior to and during the event.

Stay tuned for info on the move. I hope to do this in the next week or two.

Jaime Drysdale did my website and also hosts sites I think you call it. The Australian Freshwater Turtles just changed servers too and was having a lot of trouble after the move. Check with Jaime and she might be able to help.
