My 5 egg layers are about to go into their new tractor home, but my wife and I are wondering do we cut down their food as they go about the property in their new tractor? Or do we keep the refilling as needed?

generally you would keep the feed up to them and let them decide the amounts.
It is best to feed only enough to satisfy their appetite each day as food left overnight will attract vermin.

Sounds like good advice, from Purple.Chicken tractors are just that, the food from the ground that you are tractoring will provide interesting supplemental material but will not sustain a chicken which is after all a highly bred domesticated farm animal. Here is a little information and some recipes, tried and true from some of the experts. http://www.lionsgrip.com/feedinstruc.html
Best wishes fernando
